Top-Rated Rugby Teams in the National Rugby League 2020 Season

With the COVID-19 break on NRL’s competitions, some teams may have taken the time to improve their placing on the national rank while others lagged behind. Though the matches have just resumed, here is how the teams stand so far.

1. Melbourne Storm

This team is known to thrive under pressure and adversity. The COVID-19 pandemic might, therefore, have no impact on their overall performance or better so, it may be a stepping stone for better returns. They currently take pride in housing Cam Smith, the best player and Craig Bellamy, a master coach.

2. Canberra Raiders

The raiders have two unchallenged wins after the resumption of the NRL. Their game against the Storm might not make much difference on their standing as of now. John Bateman is yet to come back from his injury, and we are yet to see how this affects his contract.

3. Parramatta Eels

The Eels had a fantastic premiership hype, but this will have to go through the test over the coming games. They already won against the Titans and the Bulldogs who will make a lot of effort to be in the finals. The game against Brisbane should be a defining tournament at Suncorp Stadium.

4. Brisbane Broncos

A lot of hope for Brisbane rests on Brodie Croft, the team’s halfback. If his shoulder recovery is excellent, then the team does not have anything to fear yet. David Fifita’s injury is also bad news for the team with Anthony Milford leaving.

5. Sydney Roosters

The lockdown served the Roosters well since they had time to integrate Kyle Flanagan, the halfback into the team. They also had the time to rest after an overseas trip for the World Cup Challenge in February.

All top five teams have maintained their position from last year, but after more games, it will be clearer who gets to keep their place this season.
